We lost a lover of life, Regina Paz "Gina" La'O Lopez, former Environmentalist and Philanthropist who served as secretary of the Philippines Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR ). Gina Lopez died because of multiple organ failure related to the disease at Makati Medical Center on August 19, 219 at the age of 65. A ccording to Rappler, Gina had been battling brain cancer in recent months, though her official cause of death was multiple organ failure.  She was also known as the daughter of ABS-CBN Chairman. She also served as the chairperson of ABS-CBN foundation chairman. When she was the chairperson of ABS-CBNABS-CBN's Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, she established Bantay Bata 163, the country's first media-base hotline to protect disadvantage and at risk children.

Climate change is increasing the risk of dengue and other mosquito-borne disease. Warmer temperatures are expanding habitats for mosquitoes and putting millions more people at risk. - World Health Organization said on August 6. Dengue has three main risk factors, these are: Rainfall, Temperature and unplanned rapid urbanization. In the Philippines the DOH listed the following regions with the most dengue cases,  1. West Visayas region - 23,330 cases 2. CALABARZON - 16,515 cases 3. Zamboanga Peninsula - 12,317 cases 4. northern Mindanao - 11,455  5. SOCCKSARGEN - 11,083 cases Few symptoms of dengue are: Sudden high fever, severe headacheheadache, nausea, pain behind the eyes, severe joint and muscle pain, etc. Warning sign of severe dengue include a drop in body temperature below normal 38 degree celcius.

Oregano is also effective against asthma and bronchitis , ginger against dizziness and abdominal pain, swelling against elevation and insomnia or when it is difficult to fall asleep. The benefit is just the same from tea boiled plants and tea from dried leaves in a tea bag, Balingit said.

Sydney  Aiello was  a survivor of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida. Aiello was  a 19 years old  senior student  at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School l ast year. O ne of her friends, Meadow Pollack, was a victim of the F ebruary 14,2018 mass shooting left 14 students and three staff members dead. Her  mother said that her daughter   suffered from survivor's guilt and recently been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and could be the reason why she  killed herself last weekend.
